Having gained attention by offering free streaming of the FIFA World Cup and IPL 2023, the platform has now expanded its offerings to include premium content from HBO. Users can now access popular shows like The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, and Succession, further enhancing their viewing experience.

JioCinema, a prominent streaming platform in India, has introduced its Premium subscription service, granting users exclusive access to Hollywood content. Building on its success in offering free streaming of major events such as the FIFA World Cup, IPL 2023, and blockbuster films like Vikram Vedha, JioCinema has now expanded its library to include premium HBO shows such as The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, and Succession. This move aims to further enrich the platform’s offerings and cater to diverse viewer preferences.

Plan and Price of JioCinema Premium

With an annual price of Rs 999, the JioCinema Premium subscription plan offers viewers access to the highest quality video and audio available, catering to the needs of avid movie and TV fans. Subscribers can enjoy the content on up to four devices simultaneously, allowing for greater flexibility and convenience in their streaming experience. This premium plan is designed to provide an enhanced viewing experience and cater to the preferences of users seeking top-notch quality and multi-device accessibility.

In addition to the mentioned shows like Chernobyl, White House Plumbers, White Lotus, Mare of Easttown, Winning Time, Barry, Succession, Big Little Lies, Westworld, Silicon Valley, True Detective, Newsroom, Game of Thrones, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Perry Mason, JioCinema has expanded its content library by including WB’s collection. This includes highly popular movies such as the Harry Potter series, The Dark Knight trilogy, Batman v Superman, and Justice League, all available for streaming. These additions further enhance the diverse range of entertainment options provided by JioCinema’s Premium subscription, ensuring that viewers have access to a wide variety of blockbuster movies and acclaimed TV shows.

Contrary to earlier rumors and leaked images suggesting multiple plans starting from Rs 2, JioCinema has currently launched only one plan. The rumors regarding the range of plans have been proven false, and users can currently subscribe to the single plan offered by the platform.

JioCinema has experienced a remarkable surge in popularity, with more than 10 million subscribers reportedly joining in the first quarter of 2023. The platform’s provision of free access to the IPL has played a pivotal role in attracting a large number of users. This surge in subscribers has had a significant impact on Disney+ Hotstar, leading to a substantial decline in its subscriber base in Asia. Over a span of three months, Disney+ Hotstar has lost over 4 million subscribers, and since October 2022, the platform has experienced a loss of more than 8.4 million followers, largely due to the growing dominance of JioCinema.
