PM Narendra Modi Website's Data Leaked on Dark Web : Report

One of the most telling indicators of the state of cybercity in India. Data from PM Narendra Modi personal website has been leaked to the Dark Web. Cyberspace firm, Cyble, said information was given about the development on October 10. In which the company found personally-identifiable information from more than 5,74,000 users, including more than 2,74,000 donors.

Cyble Statement for Data Leaked

In the official blog of Cyble. It clearly mention that one of the database was showing the user’s name, email and phone number. And in the other database, shows the donor’s details like payment mode, bank reference number etc.

As per the donation data. It shows many types of donations to the national relief like covid-19, agriculture, swachch Bharat etc. But it also includes the political contribution of the BJP.

And the researchers are also indicating that these data is already being misused by the attackers for the criminal offense or activities. Although there is no more exact information available regarding this. And the company is assuming that it can be used for the spam text messages or phishing emails etc.

On the company’s website AmiBreached.com, Cyble has collected all the information and index it on a row. And the researcher are trying that the registered user of PM Narendra Modi Website (NarendraModi.in) go to the website and check the information about them.

A month ago, the official Twitter account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hacked by the hackers. And they were claiming that we are the part of notorious ‘John Wick’ hacking cartel. However, Twitter responded quickly to delete spam posts and restore the account to its rightful Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As we have seen here about the data breach of PM Modi website. And all the information of the donor’s was on the dark web. Which states about the term cyber security in India is not so powerful even PM’s website is not safe. So we have to careful before filling our information over any website.
